All about Lenses

In last session I have given you some learning on magnifying glass lenses. Now I have decided to provide some quality information about different types of lenses. So start learning.
A lens can be formed as is a thing  transparent substance that refracts and is extremity with one or two surfaces that are spherical and one that is shape.

Lenses are classified in to two types. They are:concave lenses and convex lenses. All types of lenses can be made in such a way that as a whole they have very little thickness.

A biconvex lens is the lens that is thick at center and filamentous at the edges. It has two surfaces and hence it has two principal foci or two focal points. A convex lenses is also called as converging lens, because it converges the rays of floaty dropping on it, and the concave lenses is also called a the diverging lens. The images formed by the lenses are of two types:The virtual image and real image

Virtual image – If the two rays of light originated from a point, appears to meet after refraction, such image is called the virtual image.

Real image – If the two rays of light originated from a point, meets after refraction, such image is called the real image.
